Open-Source Licenses & Acknowledgments

Tonewell Tech is built on open-source software. We are grateful to the maintainers of the libraries below. Each project is used under the terms of its own license — names and links follow. Where a license requires attribution, that attribution is provided here.

RAW image decoding — LibRaw

Tonewell Tech decodes camera RAW files (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF, and others) using a WebAssembly build of LibRaw, an open-source RAW conversion library. LibRaw is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1. LibRaw is used as a dynamically-loaded library; its source code is available at github.com/LibRaw/LibRaw. We have not modified the LibRaw source code. Users who wish to obtain, modify, or replace the LibRaw library used by Tonewell Tech may do so under the terms of the LGPL-2.1.

Backend, payments & infrastructure

• Authentication and database hosting — provided by our backend service provider under their respective terms.
• Paddle — Merchant of Record for all payments. The Paddle.js SDK is loaded from Paddle's CDN under Paddle's terms.

Color profiles

Tonewell Tech may embed standard ICC color profiles (sRGB IEC61966-2.1, Adobe RGB (1998), and ProPhoto RGB) when exporting images. These profiles are distributed under the licensing terms of their original publishers and are not modified.

References to third-party software in our written recipes are descriptive and used in good faith to teach photo-editing techniques.
